Characteristically when I picked up Chasing the Tide by A. Meredith Walters, I knew without doubt that my emotions were going to be muddled into a puzzle, where the characters moves, played with my emotions and I was right. In the sequel to the acclaimed Reclaiming the Sand, A. Meredith Walter’s lifts a game, writes word for word the most beautiful and heartfelt narrative to a couple I have read.
“Our connection had been between two people marginalized and forgotten. Would it still be there when we become something better?”
There are stories that can be read over and over, there is love that simple; although flawed and raw, Chasing the Tide was it for me! The connection between Ellie and Flynn was just perfection right from the reconnection to the emotional turmoil of eating a bowl of ice- cream to cover your emotions at the end.

Meredith spent ten years as a counselor for at risk teens and children.
