Jackson Cole risked it all.

With his loyalties pulling him in two directions—it’s time to make a choice…his past or his future.

Will they be beholden to their fears or will they both fight against their demons and finally find the love they both long for?

{REVIEW}

In the stunning emotionally charged conclusion Beholden by Corinne Michaels Jackson & Catherine’s love is tested beyond the scaring waters of time. Picking up moments after the cliffhanger left in Beloved (The Belonging Duet #1), the repercussions and livelihood of the two lovebirds that captured our heart is tested. The tale was beautiful and whimsical to watch as Jackson & Catherine recover from the traumatic endings of Beloved and try to build what could break them apart forever or hold them stronger.

“I love you Catherine. I would walk through fire for you,” Jackson says and my heart stops. I turn and look at him. “You wouldn’t have had to. I would’ve put out the flames before they reached you. Instead you managed to burn me yourself.”

The challenges and times hard-done were tough, and as my heart took a beating everything Catherine & Jackson’s hearts broke, I truly fell head over heels for their continuation and strength to the very end.  Every muscle begged me to read and continue to read because I needed my happily-ever-after or at least to know the characters have one, with every flame there was a passion and drive. With every heart and pain in the narrative I grew fonder and knew that to relish a love like this Corinne was never going to leave us disappointed.

“His lips crush mine and he lays me down. I relish in the way his tongue dances with mine, volleying for control. When his hands softly graze against my body I shiver. The weight of him on top of me holds me together. His arms press me against him and I’m whole once again.”

The tale of a solider, the effects of war, the heart of moving forward after loss and tragedy all beadily grace the inner lines of Beholden leaving a stamp that will never be forgotten in the hearts of the reviews, especially mine. Without a shadow of a doubt the conclusion is a highly recommended read & 5 STARS. I am eternally grateful Corinne shared with us this story and I can’t wait to read more from her.
