The Consequence of Revenge was a hurricane-force of love, paving the way of heart-warming embedded humour that leaves you rolling in  tears of joy and with a heart full; Max’s story is a must read for the Summer nights on the beach.

“Bitch be cray cray”… with NEED for Max’s story would probably be the most accurate saying when it comes to the yearning I had after The Consequence of Loving Colton for Max’s story and when I got the opportunity to read, I jumped the first second free I had. I LOVED Max; as Milo’s best friend of wisdom and humour, the etching for his story was hilarious and a testament to the heart and soul Rachel Van Dyken puts into her characters. The Consequence of Revenge is the second book in the series and boy was it like a clown tickling at you to laugh. Not a dry eye in the house of laughing so hard would be accustom to the way Rachel has paved a book that leaves you in stitches and with a heart full of warmth.

Maximus Hightower (Max) was the b all and end all of what I love about Male leads; with whit and charm, humour and grace, the lengths of duty that embedded his call of duty on the island of love ceased my heart and made me laugh from head to toe.  After losing his best friend to “Married Life”, feeling down of life; his friends decided to enter him in a Bachelor-esque reality TV show that brings women onto an island in the hopes of adventure, love, drama and hilarious anecdotes. FUN RIGHT? Now I don’t know about you, but a book that makes me laugh and is filled with heart is just my cup of tea and when Becca; a barista looking to win the money falls deep into the dreamy eyes of laughter and confident Max the tables are turned for good or bad, you will have to read?

The Consequence of Revenge was through-the-roof with passion and reading each page of paving a relationship between Max and Becca puts a whole new dynamic to chemistry between characters and I love how the style is fresh and raw to exhibit a bonding relationship. The heart of the novel shines bright like a diamond (wink wink) and through turbulent queries of the heart a truly hilarious path of raw feelings is found. There is so much to love about this book and I can’t fully put into words how great it was to read. It’s one of those books you want to re-read a million and one times and I highly recommend reading because if you love romance and laughing so much your nearly in tears this will be a highlight of your year. 5 Magnificent stars!
