What, oh, Wow. Single Volume One by Lyra Parish is the first in a new novella series by the truly talented Lyra. Initially apart of the Owned Alpha Anthology, the novella has now branched as a standalone purchase, after the anthologies limited run finished.

The narrative follows Roxane VanBuren; the boss and President of VanBuren Investments as she struggles with love and the building blocks the form a healthy relationship. The characteristics Lyra built were believable in that unhealthy relationship choices sometimes leave you battered and bruised. Enter in Parker, well; he is basically the definition of panty-wetting and sex appeal wrapped into a delivery any women would want to sign for.

After a string of casual hookups with the philosophy of no attachments, it’s up to her best friend to open Rox up to a new world. After a hotter-than-fire first encounter and an awkward stir of feelings in a second chance meeting the sexy narrative builds a dynamic build of steam, sensual extenuating lust between the characters, that boils to the very end of the first Volume. I loved reading Rox and Parker in this first volume and can’t wait to see the path that ensues in Volume Two.

Lyra Parish loves to write, travel, and sing obnoxiously loud at the top of her lungs in the shower. Sweet love stories (along with the dirty ones) make her gush. She is a firm believer that a person can never have too many cats, cups of coffee, or read too many happily ever afters. When she isn’t busy writing, she can be found sipping various beverages from her non-alcoholic drink buffet, pimp slapping excel spreadsheets, or riding her bike.
