My heart. oh my-swoon southern Texas-beating heart! I’m going to try getting through this review without having to pause to take an emotional minute because truthfully I’m a blubbering mess of emotions. You know the feeling you get when you read a book and you feel like everything is right with the world that is exactly how I felt and still feel about Say You’ll Stay by Corinne Michaels. I just.. W O R D S. DAM IT.  There is something so special about this book and I guarantee if you ever take any one of my recommendations this is the one to read.

This book really no needs no explanation as to why you should one click really but I’ll give you a few if you must need some 😉 One it’s Corinne Michaels writing and that in itself is reason enough to one click, two it’s set in TEXAS, which for people who read my reviews regularly know I love the country lifestyle and I absolutely love Texas; and three it’s a second chance romance and don’t we all swoon for the characters that fell apart in earlier years but somehow the missing puzzle piece that is lost under your couch is found and their paths cross again.

The ultimate betrayal from a caring and supportive husband shatters Presley’s life and the grey skies of darkness throw her into turmoil with the waves of a storm breaking her world into a thousand pieces. Everything she has, everything she was, changed in an instant and now everything is chaos. After loosing more than just her partner Presley ultimately has to face returning to her home town with her young sons as life throws curve ball after curve ball in her direction. Everything in the town she once called home reminds her of her childhood love Zachary and coming back wasn’t the plan. However as well all know life sometimes challenges us and that was one of the greatest things about Say You’ll Stay it intertwines two flawlessly flawed characters and leaves your emotions everywhere.

From the very first moment the air shifts and their eyes meet after many years Presley and Zachary’s chemistry captured my heart. It was like fireworks on New Years Eve, just all the feels and I swooned/cried/smiled/frowned so many times whilst reading Say You’ll Stay. I just can’t explain truly what the story and the characters meant to me because I still am very much in the binds of a book hangover but I promise this is a story you don’t want to miss reading.

Say You’ll Stay was EVERYTHING to me from the very first word to the very last word. Zachary and Presley’s story just meant so much to me. I just loved every single word. I just WOW. I’m going to cozy up in my book hangover state and try and work out all my feelings because I have a lot of them. Bottom line.. one click it. It will be the best decision of your day. It’s an ultimate 6+++++ STARS and…. *goes to get ice-cream*

“Hey.” Zach peers at me as I shake off my thoughts. “I figured you’d be asleep.” He climbs the steps slowly as I get to my feet.

“I figured you’d be gone.”

I walk toward him, unsure of why he’s here. “I left for a bit, but wanted to come check on you.”

“Oh.”

He snickers. “I couldn’t sleep.”

“Me either.” He’s close enough that I can smell his cologne. Even after a long night, being in the woods, he smells like home.

I take another step.

Then another.

I’m so close I have to tilt my head to look into his eyes.

I breathe him in, feel his heat, and I can’t stop myself. I want him. I need him. I grip his neck and yank his mouth to mine. I kiss him. I kiss him and give in to everything I’ve been feeling.
