Within These Walls eternally will be in my heart as a head over heels love story that griped me emotionally and personally.

Honestly, I don’t even know where to begin. The experience, the love, the pain, the emotion all nets a web of pure heart and soul in Within These Walls by JL. Berg. I am a relatively new fan of J’s but by golly and the heavens above, I will be a fan for life now.

“When you love someone, you tell her everything, including the fact that you love her.”

Within These Walls follows Lailah a sick patient who has practically lived in hospital her whole life and Jude a doctor hiding from his past. I was seized and captured into the narrative from the very beginning as raw emotion in a simplistic yet bound connection was explored deeper than the bearings of a heart’s emotion.

“When you were living your life on borrowed time, every second you had to spend watching the days pass by through a hospital room window was one moment less you had to be doing something meaningful.”

The raw power of two characters could never be as consuming as it is between Lailah and Jude. The Someday List was a brilliant fierce power of the possibility of making dreams come true even in the weakest of scenarios. The story JL. Berg told for me really hit home, as when I was a teenager for a period of time I was in and out of hospital and confided within the walls same to as Lailah so I felt so much heart towards the story. JL. Berg has created such a breathtaking and elegant narrative that left me shedding ugly tears.

The narrative will be forever in my heart, as it is dear to me, more than words can write. Jude is the charming doctor with a past hidden, Lailah the woman who through within these walls of a narrative guided pure heart. Beyond a shadow of a doubt 5 ++++++ Stars!!!!
