Politics are in the blood of our nation, of the world and nothing brings me more joy tham reading fictional political romances. There is something about the sweet sensual tension that rolls off the brave & wounded and the strong & bold characters that is passionate and filled with bleeding emotion and beauty in the chemistry. Nichole Chase’s Bedmates delivers a potently alluring and beautiful tale of the trouble-causing Presidents daughter Maddie and the war wounded Vice Presidents son Jake and how hardships endured ultimately unite a passion and bond that has been swept under the rug for years.

Bedmates wept the tears of the fallen, a war that has no winners and it truly represented the pain that comes with returning and building your life from the bottom up. Through it all I held my heart on my sleeve as I read page after page, emotion after emotion and the drive that showed in Jake’s personality was as heartbreakingly beautiful to feel at the depths of my heart as it probably was for Chase to write. His character resonated with me and I believe the true representation of his emotions is a testament to how beautiful and raw characters can resonate to our lives.
Maddie bewitched my heart also with her kindhearted personality I loved how fierce and driven she was to make a difference even if it got her in trouble. Her powerful stance and the connection she shared to not let Jake push her away gave me serious goals as the power of women in life.
Maddie and Jake’s story will take you on a journey of heartbreak, tension, emotionally grabbing-chocolate-or- ice-cream-to-get-through-a-chapters and all the tears raw and pure to beauty of the novel. This was my first book I have ever read by Nichole Chase and she definitely has a new follower in me as all the emotions are still bottling around inside of me and I can’t let go. This novel surprised me with his depth and emotion but I loved it sooo much. I highly recommend one-clicking and I’m definitely adding it to my favourites shelf.
