Yet Again the words of a southern charmer and a sweet country girl voice an undying connection that I love in every single Kelly Elliott book. Saving You is Book 2 in the Love Wanted in Texas series, a spin-off of the successful Wanted Series and the book focuses on Libby and Luke; the next generation from the Wanted series. As we breathe in the next generation of Kelly’s characters all grown up and ready to find love, the sexy and heart-warming narrative shows deep love from childhood can’t be broken; even through time and other relationships.
I’m flawed and amazed at how Kelly can always make me step into a world where I read non-stop until the very end. The characters Kelly creates are flawed but they are REAL, in every chapter of Saving You, there is something we see as we can relate to. This is a standalone in the series but I definitely recommend going back to the very beginning and reading the Wanted series or picking you Without You (Will & Alex’s story) because without a shadow of doubt this is a series you will get wrapped in and fall for the characters.

Libby and Luke have know each other from the very beginning, connected by the friendship of their parents they become each others person; best friend, partner in crime, partner, and as years go by the soul of the country bind the two together, with a tangent connection that is never left. The love that these characters have demonstrated such a strong building of character and narrative, it was never about whether they love each other, it was about was about their love and connection being strong enough to break any problem and evolve into something magical. I love how Kelly writes narratives, because I never feel like I have to wait to long for the chemistry to be shooting fireworks and whether it be fights; the passion, the friendship Luke and Libby showed a love that is important can withstand anything.
“The kiss was passionate- filled with love, as we kissed each other like we hadn’t seen each other in days. I pulled back some and whispered against her lips. “I loved you the, Libby. “ Closing her eyes she barely spoke, “Never stop loving me, Luke.”
The strength and love between Luke and Libby was as pure and raw as the penny that sits in your wallet, it paved a country imprint into my heart, that was tender and tethered with power and heart. There were moments of anguish and moments of tears when I read Saving You but the moments connecting heart to heart, family to friends and tying a bond like shoes powered a breathtaking novel. When I got to the end; it felt like I had experience a love that was binding and so raw and sexy that nothing could stop it. Libby and Luke were fireworks to the sky, tim tams to this Australian blogger; perfection and a novel that will forever be in my heart with strength and love.
