Today’s book review is a great new release by Michelle Lynn and Nevaeh Lee.

Review:

What you have when you add Michelle Lynn and Nevaeh Lee together, the perfect collaboration. Collaboration is a new release that is about two musicians from two separate life, who come together for one life changing collaboration.

I love books that incorporate lyrics and music into the narrative. The narrative extends a love of music to the characters of Trace and Taryn. The two main characters immediately have amazing chemistry with their romance beginning by communication. I loved this book, because communication and the values each of the characters have created value to what the narrative explored.

What may seen as money-making by the record label, turns into passion, pressure and what the truth is when Trace and Taryn challenge the rights and wrongs of the music industry. I loved the use of the music industry as a point to say not everything you read and see is valid. We always hear news stories about this star doing this or being caught doing this, and the portrayal throughout the narrative gives us insight as a reader to how things can be manipulated and changed. With one key to her heart, I loved Taryn and Trace’s lyrics not only spoke to how they are feeling about each other, but it told a story to the audience reading it.

Taryn has her widths drawn beyond her capabilities by an overbearing mother and Trace only has family within his band, but with Taryn and Trace’s connection, notes to a song are put together with passion.  A collaboration as powerful and special as Taryn and Trace’s made this a great book to pick up and enjoy. Don’t get me wrong there was one point, where I almost could have thrown my iPad out the window, but rest assure through all good collaboration there are ups and downs.

Overall, I loved the music, lyrics and narrative that Michelle Lynn and Nevaeh Lee created. With a story portraying the power of two singers combining and the passion of a story within the lyrics. I truly loved this book and have rated it a 5/5.
