Hi lovelies,
This is my first review on my blog and I couldn’t be more excited. I love romance books, and I love books that make me laugh, cry and everything in-between. Today my first book review is on Weak for Him. Weak for Him is written by Lyra Parish and is a truly amazing read. I was given this to read by the author for an honest review. So without me yapping any longer..
Synopsis:
Finnley Felton sells sex.
Jennifer Downs is a virgin.
With the help of lady luck, the two meet.
Money. Bright lights. Sex.
Jennifer is made an offer: sell her virginity to the highest bidder and transform into one of Finnley’s girls. But she finds herself weak for him, and doesn’t fully realize what she’s agreed to until it’s too late.
Will she rise to the challenge and play by the rules in a land where money is king and love is prohibited? Or will she lose herself and values in the attempt?
Weak for him is not considered a “dark” read, but does have unlady-like language, adult subject matter, and s-e-x-ual situations. Weak for Him does not have a cliffhanger. There is resolution but the story does continue on.
Review:
Passion ignites and rules are broken. I absolutely loved Weak for Him with main characters Jennifer and Finnley knocking my socks of. Lyra Parish has done an amazing job at bringing to amazingly driven characters and some unforseen choices into a truly magnificent book.
I loved Jennifers and Finnley’s connection from the beginning. Throughout the book, I did wonder what the price would be if you were to sell your virginity? Would Jennifer end up selling her virginity? Did Finnley really abide by a contract no matter what? I absolutely loved Weak for Him because it was juicy and the characters explored issues about what the heart wants. This book is definitely a must read, if you love juicy steamy action as well as a romantic tale that challenges what is right and wrong when it comes to love.
Lyra Parish is amazing, this is Lyra’s debut novel and I absolutely loved it. There were characters in Weak for Him that I loved and others that I didn’t. At times, I wondered which way the narrative was going. I loved that throughout the novel as a reader you were always kept on your toes as to what’s going to happen next.
Weak without Him is the second novel in the series and the release date is April 2nd.
Rating: 4/5
Until next time.
