No words can do justice to the emotions I feel after finishing Checkmate: This is Effortless by Kennedy Fox. I simply sit and ponder a way to write a lyric of words that can convey even a slither of emotion that is embedded in my soul right now. In this second spellbinding book of the friends-to-lovers Checkmate duet, we fall tenderly and full heartedly back into Courtney and Drew’s story! So reader beware you must read Checkmate: This is Reckless before even tippy-toeing into the book #2 of the duet Checkmate: This is Effortless!

Courtney & Drew’s journey was just phenomenal and insanely perfect. I can’t even begin to explain how much I enjoyed reading This is Effortless. Every page made me love these two characters even more and more at each passing moment! I connected at every moment with the storyline and thes friends-to-lovers truly did capture my heart. I’m tethered to so many emotions right now, no lie I’m seeking emotional remission in the form of blueberry muffins I admit. Courtney & Drew’s narrative was absolutely enchanting and at the times alluring in it’s suspense until the very end which I loved both in how it was written but in the narrative.

Kennedy Fox’s Checkmate friends-to-lovers duet delivered a suspenseful, sexy and romantic romance that is hands-down one of my all-time favourite duet series to date. The level at which the characters connected and the sizzling sensual chemistry that ignited between Courtney and Drew was just perfection in every way. It’s profound that these characters had so much of an impact as I read and I knew as soon as I finished Team Drewtney got their happily-ever-after in my eyes. Checkmate: This is Effortless was sensually spellbinding in every way and I can’t wait to read what is next from Kennedy Fox.
